If you’ve ever wondered about the power of self-talk, you’ll want to save this issue. Every link is a wealth of good information. I’m offering it in the context of weight management, but how we speak to ourselves influences all parts of our lives.
Principle 8 (Say Nice Things To Yourself) is devoted to how I discovered my defeating, internal dialog and what I did about it. If you watched my CreativeMornings talk, you know I’m a big believer in cultivating a relationship with yourself. It’s fundamental to a fulfilling, creative life.
It’s also hard to do when you are so accustomed to trashing yourself that insults barely register. Such was my case.
